In the southeastern Iranian province of Sistan-Baluchestan, 2,107 people have been admitted to hospitals in the last 5 days with various complaints caused by sand and dust storms.

Speaking to Iran's official news agency IRNA, Sistan-Baluchestan Emergency Head Majid Muhibbi said, "In the last 5 days, 2,107 people have been admitted to hospitals and 136 people are under treatment due to sand and dust storms in the cities of Zabul, Zehek, Hamun, Hirmend and Nimruz in the north of Sistan-Baluchestan."

Sistan-Baluchestan Director General of Meteorology Mohsen Haydari had said on Wednesday, September 20, that visibility had dropped to 800 meters in Zabul and 500 meters in Zehek due to the increase in the amount of dust in the air.
