In March, Kate was forced to release an emotional two-minute video revealing that she was being treated for cancer after speculation about her health skyrocketed.

"I had major abdominal surgery in London in January and at the time it was thought that my condition was not cancer. The surgery was successful but post-operative tests revealed that the cancer was present," she explained.

"So my medical team advised me to have prophylactic chemotherapy and I am now in the early stages of this treatment."

Kate added that the news came as a "huge shock".

"William and I are doing everything we can to process and manage this privately for the sake of our young family. As you can imagine, this has taken time. It took time for me to recover after a major surgery to begin my treatment. But most importantly, it took time to explain everything to George, Charlotte and Louis in a way that suited them and reassured them that I would be fine.

"As I told them, I am fine and I am getting stronger every day by focusing on the things in my mind, body and spirit that will help me recover."

Rumors about his well-being flared when William abruptly canceled a planned memorial service for his godfather in late February, adding fuel to the fire just days after the Palace released a doctored photo of Kate and her three children.
