In the US, the emergency exit door of a 174-passenger plane exploded at an altitude of 16 thousand feet as a result of the pressure drop during the flight. While no one was injured in the incident, the passenger plane made an emergency landing in Portland.

There were moments of horror on a passenger plane traveling from Portland in Oregon to Ontario in California, USA. The emergency exit door of the Alaska Airlines passenger plane exploded at an altitude of 16 thousand feet as a result of a drop in pressure for an undetermined reason.

While the oxygen masks were opened as the pressure dropped inside the plane, the passengers managed to keep their calm. The Boeing 737-MAX 9 passenger plane, which was delivered to the airlines in October, had to return to Portland for an emergency with 174 passengers and 6 crew members. The plane successfully landed in Portland.

"Passenger flight 1282 landed safely back in Portland shortly after takeoff in the evening," Alaska Airlines said in a statement, without elaborating.

In the statement made by the Federal Aviation Administration, it was stated that the crew reported that there was a "pressurization problem" and an investigation into the incident was initiated.
