The first flight demonstration of the Hexa flying vehicle was held in the garage of the Big Sight exhibition center in the capital as part of the "SusHi Tech Tokyo 2024" event.
The flying vehicle Hexa performed a 10-meter aerial take-off in a demonstration hosted by the Tokyo Metropolitan Prefecture and attended by about 500 people.
Spectators watched the successful first flight with interest and took photos and videos around the flying vehicle.
Tokyo Governor Koike Yuriko, who attended the launch, told reporters, "I want more people to experience this cutting-edge technology and look forward to flying vehicles becoming a normal means of transportation."
It was stated that the demonstrations to promote the Hexa vehicle will continue for a short period of time and free of charge on two designated days during the week.
