The price of the performance version of the Model Y was also reduced from $ 54,490 to $ 52,490.

Tesla's latest price cuts came after the company's decline in vehicle deliveries in the third quarter.

The electric car manufacturer announced at the beginning of the week that 435,59 vehicles were delivered in the third quarter. While the number of deliveries of the company in this period remained below market expectations, it fell 7 percent compared to the previous quarter.

Tesla had started to cut car prices around the world since the beginning of the year in order to stimulate demand with concerns about slowing consumer spending in markets such as the US and China and increasing competition in the electric vehicle field.
