Famous singer and actress Cher spoke about her relationship with her young lover Alexander Edwards in an interview with the Los Angeles Times.

When asked if she would marry her 37-year-old lover, the 77-year-old music icon replied, "Probably not." As for why, Cher said, "Because he has been married before. I am very happy with Alexander," she replied.

Saying that the ring on her finger is not an engagement ring, Cher said, "He gave me this ring last Christmas. He just wanted to give me this as a gift," she said.

Cher confirmed her relationship with music producer Alexander Edwards on Twitter last year, saying that her lover treated her "like a queen". In response to those who criticized the 40-year age difference between her and her boyfriend, the famous artist said, "Love doesn't understand math!"

Alexander Edwards is the vice president of A&R (the department in the music company that discovers and signs new artists) at Def Jam, the legendary music company that includes musicians such as Rihanna, Pusha T, Nas, Public Enemy and Justin Bieber.
