YouTube announced that it will no longer allow users who use ad blockers via plugins. It was noted that users who use ad blocker extensions on the platform will not be allowed to watch videos.
The platform announced the Premium subscription system after receiving too many complaints about ads.
Premium subscribers did not encounter ads while watching videos on the platform.
However, some users could block ads through the extension without paying for Premium membership.
YouTube, the system that now blocks ads through plugins now directs users to either purchase a Premium subscription or turn off the ad-blocking extension from the page.
