George Floyd, a black man living in Minneapolis, one of the largest cities in the state of Minnesota, died after being strangled while being detained by police. Minneapolis Mayor Jacob Frey announced on his Twitter account that 4 police officers involved in the death of George Floyd Floyd have been dismissed.
On Monday, May 25, Derek Chauvin, the police officer who had forced 46-year-old George Floyd to the ground and kneed him in the throat while he was being detained for trying to make a purchase with counterfeit money, was first suspended along with three other officers, and then arrested on Friday and charged with "third-degree murder" and "involuntary manslaughter".
His life is being made into a movie!
