A statement on CENTCOM's X Platform page said the airstrike was carried out on a facility used by Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corps (IRGC) and affiliated groups.
"We will take all necessary measures to defend our people against those responsible for the attacks and will respond at a time and place of our choosing," the statement read.
The statement said the airstrike was in response to attacks on US citizens in Syria and Iraq, but did not specify in which region of Syria it was carried out or its outcome.
