Norwegian companies have been approved for direct arms sales to Ukraine.
In a statement released by the Norwegian Foreign Ministry, it was announced that direct arms sales from the Norwegian defense industry to the military authorities in Ukraine are allowed as of January 1.
The statement reminded that Norway decided to donate arms to Ukraine a few weeks after the start of the Russian-Ukrainian war and has made various donations since then, emphasizing that support for Ukraine is important for European security.
On the other hand; it was stated that plans should be made against the possibility of prolonging the war.
The statement also said that Norwegian defense companies can apply for export licenses to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs for direct arms sales to Ukraine.
