Former US President and candidate Donald Trump's remarks from his speech in July 2016 are back on the agenda. Speaking about the veiling of women in Afghanistan, Trump said, “Afghan women have been veiled for thousands of years. Why did we go there and tell them to take off their veils? In my opinion, covering up is more practical than putting on makeup. If I were a woman, I would probably cover up.”
