Trump was a guest on the program of US YouTube broadcaster and former soldier Shawn Ryan.
Speaking about Musk, who he said he could offer a cabinet post if elected, Trump said, “He wants to be involved. Look, he runs big businesses and so he really can't. I would put him in the cabinet, absolutely, but I don't know how he can do it with all the things he's done. But he can be a consultant, so to speak, and he can give you very good ideas.”
Trump had told a media organization that if he won the presidential election, he could offer Musk to serve in the cabinet or serve as a consultant.
Musk, the owner of technology companies such as Tesla, Neuralink, xAI and X, had given the message that he was “ready” to serve in the cabinet if Trump won the presidential election to be held in the US on November 5.
Sharing a photo created with artificial intelligence depicting himself as a “minister” on his social media account, Musk used the phrase “I am ready to serve”.
