Ripple lawyers appealed to the court on the grounds that the SEC's review of additional financial documents was unlawful, according to information revealed in documents the other day. The XRP legal team noted that the Commission's stance on collecting additional information has changed over time.

"The SEC has exhausted all of its inquiries in the case and cannot unilaterally do more."

Although the litigation between Ripple and the SEC, which began in December 2020, has not yet concluded, the company achieved an interim victory last summer. Judge Analisa Torres ruled that the sale of XRP on exchanges did not constitute securities.
