The sequel to "Joker", which received full marks from fans and critics with its different perspective on the story of Batman's number one enemy and Gotham's villain Joker, is eagerly awaited. Directed by Todd Phillips and starring Joaquin Phoenix and Lady Gaga, "Joker: Folie à Deux" has released its first official poster.
Bringing back Joaquin Phoenix, who won an Oscar for his performance in the first movie, as Arthur Fleck, "Joker: Folie à Deux" also stars Lady Gaga as Harley Quinn. The movie also stars Zazie Beetz, Brendan Gleeson, Catherine Keener, Jacob Lofland and Harry Lawtey.
Written by Todd Phillips and Scott Silver, "Joker: Folie à Deux" will meet the audience on October 4, 2024.
ABOUT THE FIRST MOVIE
A sequel to The Joker (2019) was not originally planned. The film, which cost $62.5 million to make, grossed $1 billion globally and Phoenix won Best Actor at the Oscars, raising the possibility of a second movie.
The first Joker movie, produced by Warner Bros, was about the tragic story of Joker, one of the most famous villains of the DC world. Dealing with the psychological problems of Arthur Fleck, a part-time clown who tries to become a comedian, the movie received full marks from critics and audiences with its dark and dramatic tone.
