Snapchat announced in its third quarter earnings report that Snapchat has reached more than 400 million users.

12 PERCENT INCREASE IN THE NUMBER OF ACTIVE USERS

The app added nine million new users in the last quarter, bringing the total number of daily active users to 406 million, up 12 percent from last year, the company said.

1.19 BILLION DOLLARS IN REVENUE

The company reported revenue of $1.19 billion for the quarter, up 5 percent from last year and better than Wall Street analysts expected, according to CNBC.

SNAPCHAT PLUS REACHES 5 MILLION SUBSCRIBERS

In a statement, Snap pointed to its subscription service Snapchat+ as a key part of its strategy to grow non-advertising revenue sources. Snap announced last month that Snapchat+, which offers users exclusive and experimental features for $4 a month, has reached five million subscribers.

ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE CHATBOT MADE AVAILABLE

It was stated that the addition of an artificial intelligence chatbot to the platform contributed to the increase in the number of active users.

On the other hand, Snapchat said that the artificial intelligence assistant it developed is one of the most used artificial intelligence chatbots today.
