Russian President Vladimir Putin has signed a decree granting citizenship rights to foreign citizens in the Russian army during the "special military operation" against Ukraine.
According to the decree, foreign citizens and their family members who signed a contract with the Russian army within the scope of the ongoing war in Ukraine, which is defined as a "special military operation" in Russia, will be able to apply for Russian citizenship.
