In a statement read on state television, it was announced that the accounts of members of the government dissolved on February 19 had been frozen, their diplomatic passports confiscated and their bodyguards and aides dismissed.

The reasons for these measures were not explained.

In Guinea, transitional government leader Mamadi Doumbouya overthrew President Alpha Conde and seized power on September 5, 2021.

The government led by Prime Minister Bernard Goumou was formed in July 2022.

Doumbouya promised that democratic elections would be held by the end of 2024.
