According to a statement made by the Norwegian Ministry of Defense, an agreement was signed between the US-based "Raytheon" company and the Norwegian "Kongsberg Defense & Aerospace" in the US capital Washington.
Under the agreement, the two companies will work together on Norway's NASAMS development.
Norwegian Defense Minister Bjorn Arild Gram said in a statement, "We need to strengthen and expand our air defense to protect civilian and military targets against threats from the air. The war in Ukraine has shown the importance of the air defense system."
