North Korea's official Korean Central News Agency (KCNA) made a statement on the situation in the Middle East.
The statement said that "the United States immediately began supporting Israel with aid and weapons" after the start of the conflict, arguing that "the tragedy in the region is entirely caused by the United States."
The statement noted that US President Joe Biden "traveled to Israel to support the war" and drew attention to the US veto of a United Nations Security Council (UNSC) resolution calling for a "pause" in hostilities to provide humanitarian aid to Gaza.
"The international community must closely monitor the US actions and resolutely condemn and reject this dangerous and foolish initiative," the statement said, adding that the US "is placing the responsibility for the crisis in the Middle East on Palestine, which it has branded as the 'aggressor'."
