In addition to videos, YouTube will now include mini games on its platform. YouTube's latest feature aims to host small pocket games called "Playables".

Available to a limited number of beta testers, "Playables" appear as a small tab on your homepage next to your content feed. These mini-games can be played on both desktop and mobile platforms.

One example is "Stack Bounce", in which users guide a ball through rings. This game was previously available on Google's GameSnacks gaming service.
YouTube's gaming feature comes at a time when even rival platforms Netflix and TikTok are showing interest in gaming. However, YouTube's foray into this space seems to indicate that it is still at an early stage.
