Elon Musk sued OpenAI, the company he first became a board member in 2018 but later left. It was noted that Musk was striving for the artificial intelligence company to bring profit to Microsoft and was concerned that this could jeopardize public safety.
Musk stated that he thinks they betrayed the agreement to develop the artificial intelligence company for the benefit of humanity rather than profit from its inception.
In the lawsuit filed Thursday night in San Francisco Superior Court, Musk claims that OpenAI's recent relationship with tech giant Microsoft jeopardizes the company's commitment to open source artificial general intelligence (AGI).

Musk is bringing claims against OpenAI for breach of contract, breach of fiduciary duty and unfair trade practices, and wants the company to return to open source.

MICROSOFT CLAIMS RIGHTS OVER GPT-4
