Max Azzarello, 37-year-old Max Azzarello, who reportedly shared conspiracy theories on social media, set himself on fire in front of the court during Trump's trial yesterday and was taken to Cornell Burn Treatment Center in critical condition.
Media, citing police, reported that Azzarello died early this morning. It was reported that Azzarello had been walking around the city with banners before the incident and later came to the court and threw pamphlets containing conspiracy theories into the air.
At the time of the incident, jury selection was taking place in the trial of former President Donald Trump in New York, and authorities said Azzarello's self-immolation did not violate court security and the trial continued.
