Dozens of flights were canceled as lightning struck the control tower of Brest Airport in the Bretonnian region in northwestern France.

In a post on the website of Brest Airport in France, it was stated that despite all precautions, the control tower was struck by lightning on the night of December 30 and the airport flights were canceled until noon tomorrow due to the malfunction.

On the busiest days of the year, dozens of flights could not be made due to lightning strikes.

In Bretonnia, Cotes d'Armor and Morbihan, the western, northern and northwestern regions of France, the alert level was raised to orange on December 30 due to adverse weather conditions.
