An update on the health status of former US President Jimmy Carter has been shared by his grandson. Speaking at the Rosalynn Carter Georgia Mental Health Forum on Tuesday, Jason Carter stated that Jimmy Carter was "near the end." According to him, the former president was doing well in the current circumstances, but his end was certain.
Speculation about Jimmy Carter's death
The former President looked frail when he was spotted attending the funeral of his wife Roselynn in November 2023. However, this is not the first time Jason has speculated about his grandfather's health. He made a similar statement following Roselynn's death in November.

Speaking at a meeting at the Rosalynn Carter Georgia Mental Health Forum, Jason also thanked supporters who had been concerned about the former president's health and prayed for his well-being.
The 99-year-old former President will celebrate his centenary in October. He is a survivor of metastatic brain and liver cancer. He has also been in hospice care for the last year and a half.
