Jean Reno, 75, who has starred in films such as 'Godzilla', 'Mission Impossible' and 'The Power of Love', answered Montiel's questions in a program.

DEATH IS NEVER FAR AWAY

To Montiel's question of what is your biggest fear; Jean Reno, who answered "Death", said: "Not every day, but sometimes I think about death. As you know, death is never far away in Andalusia, where I come from." When asked why he thinks about death; "Questions such as where the world is going, where are we going are always in my head. This causes a disconnect".

"I'M NOT 20 ANYMORE"

Jean Reno's close friends Johnny Hallyday, Jean-Louis Trintignant and Michael Bouquet had lost their lives one after the other. Referring to this issue, Reno said; "Every day you learn that so and so has died and so and so is about to die. You cannot stop yourself from thinking about death. I am not 20 years old anymore. If I was 20 years old, I would think about the future, not about death."

Jean Reno also touched upon the subject of death in an interview in Parisien in 2022 and said, "If man did not die, he would not live. It is hard to accept this. Because I am at an age where I think about death every day, worries about death prevent me from sleeping. It's evening, I can't sleep. Trintignant is gone, Bouquet is gone."
