Israel's plan is clear: Driving Gaza into Egypt

The preparations come at a time of growing speculation that Israel will launch a ground operation in the Gaza Strip.

The report did not elaborate on where they would settle after Egypt.

An official at the US Embassy in Israel told KAN that he "cannot speak for the Egyptians, but he is confident that they will authorise it".

Egypt has not yet made an official statement on the issue.
