Last night, Israel launched its most intense airstrike on Gaza since October 7. While phone and internet services in the city were cut, there was no news from more than 2 million people living in the region.
As a result of the calls, Elon Musk stepped in and announced that Starlink satellites would be activated in Gaza for recognized international organizations.

Elon Musk's move did not go down well with Israel. Following Elon Musk's Starlink decision for Gaza, Israel's Head of Communications Shlomo Karhi made the following statement on the social media platform X:
Israel will use all means at its disposal to fight this decision. HAMAS will use the satellite for terrorist activities. There is no doubt about it, we know it, Elon Musk knows it. HAMAS is ISIS. My office will cut all ties with Starlink.
Israel's Minister of Communications: We will also block Elon Musk's satellites!
Israeli Communications Minister Shlomo Karhi stated that they have severed all ties with Elon Musk, who decided to provide international aid organizations with internet in Gaza, and that they will do everything they can to block the satellites.
