86-year-old actor Anthony Hopkins, who reached the peak of his career with 'Silence of the Lambs' and 'Remains of the Day', posted a video on his social media account. Hopkins greeted his followers by saying; "Hello, happy new year to all of you!"

"I GAVE UP ALCOHOL 48 YEARS AGO"

Anthony Hopkins, who every year shares his good wishes for the New Year and continues his tradition of sending messages of hope to those struggling with alcoholism, then said, "Happy New Year, have a great time. If you get a hangover, remember me. Because 48 years ago today I quit drinking alcohol, I got help for it and my life changed."

"THERE IS TIME FOR THAT"

Anthony Hopkins, who turned 86 on 31 December, said, "I don't envy you having fun outside, but if you need help, there is a time for it. Life goes on. Let me see you!" he concluded with the expressions.

"I WILL EITHER KILL SOMEONE OR KILL MYSELF"

Anthony Hopkins had previously told his memory that led to his decision to quit drinking in 1975. Stating that he woke up in a hotel room in Arizona but could not remember how he got there, Hopkins said, "I thought, 'I have to quit this or I will either kill someone or kill myself.' From that moment on, my life took on a new meaning."
