Michigan State Representative Matt Maddock mistook the Gonzaga men's basketball team buses for 'illegal occupiers'.
The Bulldogs landed at Detroit Metro Airport on Wednesday night ahead of Friday's Sweet 16 game against top-seeded Purdue at Little Caesar's Arena in Detroit.
But the team's arrival in the Motor City drew the ire of GOP Representative Maddock.
Maddock, who claims in his X bio to be endorsed by former President Donald Trump, posted photos of Gonzaga's plane - an Allegiant Airways plane - and three team buses waiting at the end of runway X.
He claimed the buses, which appeared to have a police escort, were filled with 'illegal invaders'.
