A US military base on the Jordan-Syria border was attacked by unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs). It was reported that 3 US soldiers were killed and many others were wounded as a result of the attack.

Former US President Donald Trump posted about the attack on the Truth social media platform.

Stating that the attack that resulted in the death of 3 US soldiers at the US military base on the Jordan-Syria border has emotionally wounded many people and that today is a "terrible day" for the US, Trump expressed his condolences to the families of the soldiers who lost their lives.

"This brazen attack on the United States is just another horrific and tragic consequence of (US President) Joe Biden's weakness and capitulation," Trump said, claiming that three years ago Iran was "weak, broke and completely in control."

Referring to the impact of the "Maximum Pressure" policy he stated that he implemented during his presidency, Trump said, "The Iranian regime could barely scrape together $2 to fund its terrorist proxies."

"THIS ATTACK WOULD NOT HAVE HAPPENED IF I WAS PRESIDENT"

Claiming that Biden gave billions of dollars to Iran, Trump argued that Iran used this money to "slaughter and destruction" in the Middle East."If I had been president, this attack would never have happened," Trump said.Claiming that the events of October 7, 2023 or the Ukraine-Russia War would not have happened if he had remained in office, Trump stated that the world is "on the brink of World War III".Underlining that the drone attack is proof that his country urgently needs to return to a policy of "peace through strength", Trump pointed out that this is necessary to avoid chaos and carnage, as well as the loss of US lives. At the end of his post, the former President said, "Our country cannot survive with Joe Biden as commander-in-chief."

DRONE ATTACK ON US FORCES

According to the written statement made by the White House, Biden said, "Last night, 3 US soldiers were killed and many wounded in a drone attack on our forces deployed northeast of Jordan, near the Syrian border."

Stating that they are still gathering information about the attack, Biden said, "We know that this was carried out by Iran-backed radical militant groups operating in Syria and Iraq."

Noting that those responsible for the attack will be held accountable at a time and in a way the US will choose, Biden emphasized that they will continue to fight this war.

In a written statement made by the US Central Command (CENTCOM), it was stated that 3 US soldiers were killed and 25 people were injured as a result of a one-way drone attack in northeast Jordan.

The Jordanian government, on the other hand, announced that the attack on US forces did not take place on the territory of the country, but at the Tenef Base on the Syrian border.
