The new project of comedian and actor Jim Carrey, who has become one of the Hollywood icons by signing many successful productions in his career, has been announced.

The actor will star in Sonic the Hedgehog 3 (Sonic the Hedgehog). Carrey, who starred in the first two films of the series, plays the character of Dr. Eggman.

HE SAID HE WHOULD RETIRE

The 62-year-old actor said he would retire in 2022 and that Sonic the Hedgehog 2 would be his last movie. The comedian said, "If the angels bring me a script written in golden ink and this story will be important to people, I can go down this path again." Although he said that he did not quit acting completely, he stated that he was determined to take a break.

The movie stars Ben Schwartz as Sonic, James Marsden as Tom Wachowski, Idris Elba as Knuckles and Colleen O'Shaughnessy as Tails.

Krysten Ritter, James Wolk, Alyla Browne, Jorma Taccone, Sofia Pernas, and Cristo Fernández have joined the cast of the third movie. The first two films in the series earned a total of $870.8 million at the box office.

The film will be released on December 20.
