"Apple strongly disagrees with the order and is pursuing a range of legal and technical options to ensure Apple Watch is available to customers," it added.
The company said that if the order is valid, it "will continue to take all measures to return Apple Watch Series 9 and Apple Watch Ultra 2 to customers in the US as soon as possible."
Other models will still be available for purchase, but the import ban will affect Apple Watch Series 6 and newer, and all Apple Watch Ultra models imported after the end of the upcoming review period. But it won't affect sales of the Apple Watch SE, according to Apple.
Apple launched the Series 9 phone in September. It features a special S9 chip for faster processing and allows hand gestures to control the watch, thanks in part to an advanced neural engine that processes data from sensors and machine learning.
