Oscar-winning director George Miller returns to the iconic dystopian world he created with the "Mad Max" films. 6 Oscar The new movie "Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga", which will reveal the origins of Furiosa, the character from "Mad Max: Fury Road", was released today: A Mad Max Saga" was released in theaters today. 

Anya Taylor-Joy plays a younger version of Charlize Theron's Furiosa character in "Mad Max: Fury Road", with George Miller once again taking the director's chair.

Starring Taylor-Joy, the film also stars Hemsworth, Alyla Browne and Tom Burke. Miller and Doug Mitchell are producing the movie.

Furiosa is kidnapped by a gang led by the warlord Dementus. As Dementus and Immortan Joe fight for control of the Citadel, Furiosa tries to return home.

The series is set in the future Australia and centers on severe resource shortages and conflicts that lead to the collapse of society. The series follows the adventures of the main character, Max Rockatansky, a police officer.
