Authorities stated that 4 construction workers were trapped in the control tower for a short time due to the fire, but they escaped on their own without any injuries.

While fire brigades brought the fire under control in 10 minutes, there was no disruption in airport operations.

It was determined that the fire was caused by hot slag accidentally falling into the insulation material in the lift shaft during demolition.
