The recall covers standard and platform beds from Home Design in several different models and sizes.

The Silver Lake, Indiana-based furniture wholesaler said it has received 128 reports to date, including 36 unspecified injuries, that these mattresses "break, sag or collapse" when used.

Both Home Design and the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission are urging consumers who have used the recalled mattresses to immediately stop using them and contact the company for free replacement slats and side rails.

2-112Consumers must email photos of the Home Design mattress or proof of purchase, as well as the "legal label" to receive the free service.

The recalled mattresses, made in Malaysia, were sold on Wayfair, Walmart.com and Overstock.com between July 2018 and November 2023.

The mattresses ranged in price from $100 to $300.

The recall covers more than 527,000 Home Design mattresses in the US and about 56,000 in Canada.
