A US F-35 fighter jet reportedly crashed near Albuquerque International Sunport Airport in New Mexico.
In the statement made by the airport management, it was stated that the accident occurred around 14.00, while the Albuquerque Fire Department announced that the pilot, the only person on board, was hospitalized with serious injuries.
Albuquerque Mayor Tim Keller said on social media, "We are grateful to the crews that arrived on the scene for their quick response. We are praying for the pilot."
Kirtland Air Force Base, located near Albuquerque International Sunport Airport, confirmed the accident, but did not provide details such as the type of aircraft and the cause of the accident. It was stated that a detailed investigation was launched into the incident.
