The daily ticket fee for tourists has been set at 5 euros and will be valid as of April 25. Visitors will pay for their tickets online and will receive QR codes that provide daily access to the city.

Anyone caught without a ticket will be fined between 50 euros and 300 euros. Locals born and living in Venice, students, homeowners and workers will be exempt.

Tourists with long-term accommodation reservations and children under the age of 14 will also be required to buy a QR code but will be exempt from payment.
