In a statement made by Eurovision organizers, it was stated that the behavior of Dutch representative Klein towards a team member was considered a violation of the contest rules.

"We are committed to providing a safe and secure working environment for all staff at the contest," the statement said, adding that Joost Klein was disqualified from the final contest.

QUESTIONED ISRAEL'S PARTICIPATION IN THE CONTEST

Dutch representative Klein questioned the Israeli representative's participation in the competition. At a press conference yesterday ahead of the final competition in Malmö, Sweden, Israeli representative Eden Golan was asked by a Polish journalist whether she felt that her participation in the event posed a security risk to other participants.

Swedish presenter Jovan Radomir immediately intervened and told Golan that she "didn't have to answer the question", while Dutch representative Joost Klein said aloud "Why not?".

The artists representing Belgium, Portugal, Great Britain, Ireland, Switzerland, Norway, Denmark, Lithuania, Finland, Denmark, Denmark, Lithuania, Finland and San Marino at the Eurovision Song Contest called for an "immediate and sustainable ceasefire in Gaza".

Different groups from many European countries had called for Israel to be banned from the Eurovision Song Contest due to its attacks on Gaza.
