The US Department of Justice announced that a woman, Lisa Jeanine Findley, has been detained for attempting to defraud the family of famous singer Elvis Presley and for arranging the fraudulent sale of Presley's 'Graceland' home in Tennessee.

Findley pretended to be three different people connected to a fake private lending organization called 'Naussany Investments,' the Justice Department said.

2-192“A Missouri woman was taken into custody this morning on federal charges for allegedly defrauding Elvis Presley's family of millions of dollars and stealing the family's ownership interest in Graceland, Elvis Presley's former home in Memphis, Tennessee,” the Justice Department said in a statement.

The statement said Findley alleged that Lisa Marie Presley, daughter of Elvis Presley, who died in January 2023, borrowed $3.8 million from 'Naussany Investments', pledged Graceland as collateral for the loan and failed to repay the loan.

Findley reportedly demanded $2.85 million from Presley's family to settle the alleged debt. The charges against Findley include forging loan documents, forging the signature of Elvis Presley's daughter and publishing a false foreclosure notice in a Memphis daily newspaper announcing that Naussany planned to auction off Graceland on May 23. The Justice Department emphasized that Findley could face between 2 years and 20 years in prison if convicted.
