Activists protesting against Israel's attacks on Gaza prevented the passage of vehicles in the Holland Tunnel, which provides passage between New York's bridges between Brooklyn and Manhattan and between New Jersey and New York states.

The demonstrators, who walked to the Holland Tunnel near Manhattan's Wall Street district, staged a sit-in at the point where vehicles enter the tunnel.

Dozens of activists were also seen on the Brooklyn and Manhattan bridges, holding hands and blocking the passage of vehicles.

The activist group called for an immediate ceasefire and an end to Israel's attacks on Gaza.

New York police (NYPD) intervened in the anti-Israel protest and detained some activists.
