Zelenski had last visited Spain in October 2023 for the European Political Community meeting in Granada.

On the other hand, Spanish Foreign Minister Jose Manuel Albares, in a press conference today, refrained from answering a question about when Zelenski would come to Madrid for security reasons.

Albares emphasized that Russia's invasion of Ukraine was "unjustified" and reiterated that Spain would continue to support Ukraine in every field as long as necessary.

According to reports in the Spanish press, which were confirmed by government sources, Spain would send Patriot missiles to Ukraine.
