In a poll conducted in the US, US President Joe Biden fell 9 points behind former President Donald Trump in a comparison of the presidential elections to be held in 2024.

The poll conducted by ABC/Washington Post revealed the results of a hypothetical comparison between Biden and Trump for the 2024 presidential elections.

BIDEN 8 POINTS BEHIND

In the survey, 51 percent of respondents supported Trump, while Biden received 42 percent support, 9 points behind his predecessor.

SUPPORT FOR TRUMP INCREASES

In a similar poll conducted by ABC/Washington Post in February, support for Trump was recorded as 48 percent, while support for Biden was recorded as 45 percent.

In the said poll, public support for Biden's economic and immigration policies was also low.

Only 37 percent of respondents approved of Biden's job performance, while 56 percent gave the President a negative rating. Forty-four percent of adults in the survey stated that they have gotten worse financially during the Biden administration.

While the rate of those who approve of Biden's policies on immigration was 23 percent, the rate of those who think he is too old for a new post after the 2024 presidential elections was determined as 74 percent.

1006 ADULTS PARTICIPATED

Compared to Biden, 48 percent of respondents gave Trump's job performance during his tenure a favorable rating, while 49 percent gave him a negative rating.

When Trump left the White House, public support was at 38 percent and the rate of those who disliked his job performance was hovering around 60 percent.

The survey, which was conducted in English and Spanish and randomly selected by telephone across the country, polled 1006 adults between September 15 and 20.
