Biden discussed the agenda with the press members during his reception of Italian Prime Minister Georgia Meloni at the White House.

In his statement in the Oval Office, Biden said, regarding the Gazan civilians who were shot dead by Israel while waiting for aid, "The incident in northern Gaza while (Palestinians) were trying to reach humanitarian aid is tragic and frightening. The loss of lives there is very sad."

Stating that innocent people were "caught up in the war" as they struggled to find food, Biden said, "You saw the situation they faced as they tried to reach help. We must do more and the United States will do more."

HE SAID "UKRAINE" INSTEAD OF GAZA

Biden said, "In the coming days, we will join Jordan and start dropping humanitarian aid (to Gaza) from the air."

It was noteworthy that Biden mistakenly said "Ukraine" twice instead of Gaza in his speech about the aid to be airdropped to Gaza.Biden added that they are continuing negotiations with the Israeli side to send more humanitarian aid to the region.

THE OPTION OF DELIVERING AID BY SEA IS ALSO ON THE TABLEUS

President Biden stated that in his talks with Israel, they also discussed the option of delivering humanitarian aid to Gaza through a corridor to be opened by sea.

Biden said that they are working on Israel allowing the passage of hundreds of humanitarian aid trucks waiting at the border and added, "It is absolutely not enough to drop aid into Gaza from the air. The lives of innocent people and children are at stake."

Stating that they are also working hard for a temporary ceasefire between Israel and Hamas that could last up to 6 weeks, Biden noted that during this period, hostages can be released and enough humanitarian aid can enter Gaza.
