The 13th challenge of the season in the MotoGP World Championship, the most important organization of motorcycle racing, was held over 24 laps on the 5-kilometer Buddh International Circuit in Greater Noida, India.

Bezzecchi crossed the checkered flag in first place with a time of 36.59.1570 in the first Indian Grand Prix in MotoGP history. Spanish rider Jorge Martin of the Prima Pramac team was second, 8.649 seconds behind the leader; French Fabio Quartararo of the Monster Energy Yamaha team was third, 8.855 seconds behind the leader.

Italian Francesco Bagnaia of the championship leader Ducati Lenovo team crashed and could not complete the race.

In the remaining part of the championship, Francesco Bagnaia has 5 race wins, Marco Bezzecchi 3, Jorge Martin (Prima Pramac) and Aleix Espargaro (Aprilia) 2 each, and Alex Rins (LCR Honda Castrol) has one race win.

The 14th race of the season, the Japanese Grand Prix, will be held on October 1.
