Bokkos Regional Head Monday Kasa said in a statement that gunmen organized attacks on villages in Bokkos and Barkin-Ladi regions of Plateau state.
Noting that more than 100 people lost their lives and dozens of people were injured in the attacks, Kasa shared the information that many people were kidnapped.

Kasa said security forces were sent to the region to find those abducted in the attacks.
Stating that many houses were set on fire in the attacks, Kasa said the gunmen also took away food products they seized in the village.
Kasa said teams were continuing to collect bodies and the number could increase.

On the other hand, Plateau Governor Caleb Mutfwang condemned the attacks and ordered security agencies to immediately apprehend those responsible.
Nigeria's Plateau state has recently been the scene of attacks by gunmen.
