Sony unveiled its mixed reality glasses, developed in collaboration with Siemens, focused on mixed spatial content creation.

The glasses, which are expected to rival Apple Vision Pro, are expected to be released in late 2024.

Using the XR2+ Gen 2 processor, the glasses utilize Sony's own micro OLED display with 4K resolution.

BEHIND APPLE VISION PRO

Apple's mixed reality glasses Vision Pro, which will go on sale on February 2, has increased interest in high-end mixed reality headsets.

TWO CONTROLLERS

With Sony's glasses, users are coming out with a point-and-ring controller for moving 3D objects.

Neither Apple nor Meta have yet developed a controller for mixed reality glasses.

But wearables are expected to be used alongside the glasses in the next few years.
