A 7.2 magnitude earthquake struck east of the Kamchatka Peninsula in Russia. According to the data of the Euro-Mediterranean Seismological Center, the earthquake occurred at a depth of 51 kilometers.
After the earthquake, the National Tsunami Warning Center issued a tsunami warning. However, the Ministry of Emergency Situations stated that there is no tsunami danger after the earthquake off the coast of Kamchatka.
Damage assessment works are being carried out in the buildings in the region.
