In Mexico, 58 forest fires broke out in 15 states experiencing drought. In a statement made by the Mexican National Forestry Commission (CONAFOR), it was stated that more than one thousand 421 hectares of forest areas have turned to ashes so far in 58 active fires.

It was stated that 2,85 firefighters participated in the extinguishing efforts.

In some regions, fires spread to houses while animals in farms perished.

It was learned that four of the fires broke out in natural protection areas in the states of Morelos and Veracruz.
