It was reported that 100 million tons of crude oil reserves were discovered in the Bohay Sea in northeast China.
According to the statement made by the China National Offshore Oil Company (CNOOC), new reserves were found in the Chinhuangdao 27-3 oil field about 200 kilometers off the coast of Tiencin city.
Approximately 100 million tons of medium-heavy crude oil was discovered in the oil field in the central northern parts of the Bohai Sea, with an average sea depth of 25 meters.
CNOOC announced on March 8 that 100 million tons of crude oil reserves were discovered in the northeast of the South China Sea.
The company, which drills offshore oil and natural gas in the Bohai Sea and the South China Sea, aims to extract 700 to 720 million barrels of oil in 2024.
